St Ive Parish Council is Seeking a Responsible Financial Officer

St Ive Parish Council are seeking to appoint a temporary part-time Local Government
Finance Office (RFO) to cover long-term sickness leave. This position will be reviewed
after six months from the date of appointment.

You will be required to work 12 hours per week (flexible) based in the Parish Council
office at The Millennium House, Pensilva. Rates of pay will be based on previous
experience, qualifications, and the NALC local government salary scale.

The Parish Council requires the RFO to work under the instruction and alongside the
Parish Clerk to carry out the Finance Officer duties of the council. The council run a
Sage Business accounting system.

Annual Parish Meeting is Tonight

The annual parish meeting is tonight at 7pm, Millennium House. There will be a few presentations – from the council, and from The Story of Emily – and it’s your chance to question us about decisions or talk about what issues you’d like to see tackled (outside of a restricted formal council meeting).

The unaudited Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) for last year is ready to download, comprising: Annual Internal Audit Report (available as a PDF), Annual Governance Statement (AGAR Section 1), Accounting Statements (AGAR Section 2), and Notice of Public Rights and Publication of AGAR—embedded in the post below.

Note that these accounts are still to be audited by our external auditor, BDO. 

Wildanet Public Meeting

A public meeting is being held in the Millennium House, Pensilva on Thursday, 17th August 2023 at 7.00pm to discuss the work by Wildanet and their contractors, including the numerous road closures and groundwork. All are welcome to attend.

A casual vacancy currently exists for a councillor in the Pensilva Ward.
