The parish of St Ive has what is said to be the largest village in Cornwall, namely Pensilva. Pensilva has more than 2,000 residents and an industrial estate. The village of St Ive is made up from the hamlets of; St Ive Church End, St Ive Parkfield, St Ive Keason, and St Ive Cross, clustered along the A390 with more than 300 residents.
