2018-2019 Accounts Now Available to Inspect

Download the 2018-2019 AGAR Notice

Each year the smaller authority’s Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) needs to be reviewed by an external auditor appointed by Smaller Authorities’ Audit Appointments Ltd. The unaudited AGAR has been published with this notice. As it has yet to be reviewed by the appointed auditor, it is subject to change as a result of that review.

Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the accounting records for the financial year to which the audit relates and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, receipts and other documents relating to those records must be made available for inspection by any person interested. For the year ended 31 March 2019, these documents will be available on reasonable notice by application to:

St Ive Parish Has Declared a Climate Emergency

St Ive Parish Council notes that Cornwall Council declared a Climate Emergency on 22nd January 2019 and we also declare a Climate Emergency. We will do our best to reduce carbon emissions and encourage the move to renewable energy within our parish. We also call upon our Member of Parliament, Sheryll Murray, to pressure the government to take measures, both nationally and internationally, to move to zero carbon in timescales recommended by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) special report on Global Warming, published Oct 2018.

Notice Concerning Millennium House Car Park

In order to carry out long overdue and necessary repairs to the Millennium House Car Park, St Ive Parish Council intend to seek approval from the Public Works Loans Board for the funding of the works. St Ive Parish Council will continue to undertake cost cutting measures within the daily operation of Millennium House, in order to minimise any adverse effect on the annual Precept for the Budget of 2017/18.

Millennium House Coffee Shop Now Open!

Today the Millennium House Coffee Shop has opened for business, run by volunteer councillors and members of the public — Marlene Carr, Kathleen Parkes, Ruth Hicks, and Trish Thomas. You’ll find tea, coffee, cakes and friendly surroundings.

Opening hours are currently in line with the adjoining post office, but may be extended at a later date:

  • Tuesday 9am-1pm
  • Wednesday 9am-12pm
  • Friday 9am-12pm

Additional volunteers are welcome, but the best thing you can do to help out is simply to come along and grab a bite to eat. Show the council that this is a viable solution by making use of it!

Thank you to all the volunteers helping to bring life back to this valued part of our community centre, and we hope to see you there.
